Transportation

How to get there?

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is one of the largest hubs in Asia and well served by airlines all over the world. From the airport take a bus or train to go to the city center.

How to get around?

It’s not a good idea to rent a car in Singapore. Parking is scarce and expensive. Public transport will take you anywhere you need to go.

How to get from town to town?

Singapore has ferry connections to Indonesia and Malaysia. There are also long distance busses serving destinations in Malaysia. Otherwise flying is a good option as many budget airlines serve Singapore (AirAsia, Cebu Pacific, Jetstar, Scoot).

Accommodation

Depending on where you are staying prices will vary of course. Using a middle class hotel, we paid around 42€ per person per night.

Cash

Singapore is a very Credit Card friendly place. At markets however, you will need cash. How much you will need of course depends on your spending habits. Retrospective I found I needed around 34€ per day. This includes food, transportation, activities and souvenirs.
